BOWSER & BLUE

George Bowser and Ricky Blue teamed up in 1978 as a folk-rock duo. Over the years the act developed into an award winning musical comedy show. The Canadian Organization of Campus Activities voted them “Entertainers of the Year” in 1985, and “Best Comedy/Variety Act” in 1986 and in 1991. Since then Bowser & Blue\’s irreverent, intelligent and sometimes just plain silly comedy has tickled the fuunybones of appreciative audiences in theatres and concert halls, and on TV and radio. Their theatrical productions – Blokes, Blokes 2, Troubadours, and The Best of Bowser & Blue have sold out theatres everywhere. They have appeared weekly on CFCF’s “Fighting Back” as the show’s resident satirists. They have also appeared in this role on CBC’s “The Journal” and “Midday”. Other TV credits include Much Music, A&E’s “Comedy on the Road”, several appearances on “Just For Laughs” from Montreal’s international comedy festival, and their own TV specials on CBC. They have recorded 9 CDs. Bowser & Blue are favourites at corporate events. Their material certainly relates to the typical male dominated corporate demographics. Their song titles tell the story – “Bald is Beautiful”,”I’m in Love With Joni Mitchell”,”Talking About My Vasectomy”, “Hey, Let’s Play Golf”, “An Italian Suit Made a Man Out of Me”, and “A Sensitive Stone Age Guy”.
