Description:

BURTON CUMMINGS is a true Canadian Superstar. He is internationally acclaimed as an intelligent songwriter and a dynamic performer, with many awards to prove it. Of the 24 albums he has recorded, an astonishing 13 have achieved gold or platinum status selling in excess of 30 million copies. Burton has been honored with 10 JUNO Awards and 33 songwriting awards.

As lead singer and songwriter for The Guess Who in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s, Burton toured the world performing their many megahits. In 1976, Burton began a solo career, again producing hit after hit. His album “Dream of a Child” became the 1st. Canadian album to achieve triple platinum sales status.

For the last few summers, The Guess Who have reunited for concert dates across Canada and the USA, usually garnering front page news in every city. They even performed at the Sars Benefit concert in Toronto with The Rolling Stones.

Burton also tours with a whole new concept - just the man and his piano. As he explains during his show, these are how the songs sounded like as he was composing them sitting at a piano in his living room. Audiences are enjoying the rare opportunity to hear the “behind the scenes” anecdotes of these hit tunes they have enjoyed over the years. This intimate concept has received rave reviews, prompting Burton to record his latest album “Up Close & Alone”.
