CARIBBEAN FOLK PERFORMERS

This colourfully costumed troupe of 7 dancers and drummers take to the stage in a spirited ceremonial parade. What follows is an exciting display of dancing originating from the Dark Continent. Dancers compete against each other trying to outdo the others with dazzling moves and acrobatics. Caribbean Folk Performers is an Afro-Caribbean Performing Arts company based in Toronto. Founded in 1988, the company is committed to preserving and promoting traditional African and Indigenous Caribbean Culture through dance, music and drama. No Caribbean dance show would be complete without THE LIMBO. How low can you go? Well….these dancers go lower than humanly possible! The fun continues when the dancers hold a contest using audience contestants from the audience joining in.
